Carrollwood Sewer Drain Hydro Jetting

With 44 years of experience servicing the Tampa Bay area, The Drain Team is one of the most trusted names in hydro-jetting or drain jetting. Our plumbers have the knowledge, the experience, and the equipment to resolve your drainage problems for good.

Comprehensive Hydro Jetting Solutions

  • Camera Inspections Before, During, & After Hydro Jetting: Our thorough camera inspection process ensures that we identify the cause, location, and depth of the drainage issue.
  • Blockage Extraction vs. Snaking: Conventional drain snakes are an effective tool that we use to clear drain stoppages, but in many cases there is enough accumulated buildup to cause the sewer or drain lines to back up, and become a recurring issue. We focus on extracting the buildup with high pressure water to prevent future issues.
  • Two-Way Cleanout Installation: Ground level cleanout installation provides a future point of entry for maintenance and inspections of the underground drainage system.

How do you know your drains need hydro jetting?

Are you experiencing frequent drain backups that snaking or cabling doesn’t seem to resolve? If regular maintenance is becoming a frequent and costly concern, with issues recurring frequently, it might be time to consider hydro jetting. This procedure removes years or even decades of buildup from inside the drain piping that snaking methods cannot.

Drain Jetting

Camera inspecting your drainage system would be the first step in determining your sewer’s issues as well as the appropriate solution. One of our expert technicians will visually assess the condition of your piping, the location of blockages, and determine if hydro jetting is the best solution.

The necessity for jetting over other repair techniques largely depends on the location of the blockage within your plumbing system. Recurring blockages under the home or business are prime candidates for hydro jetting, due to the lack of access to the piping. This technique is a non-invasive solution that could eliminate the need for pipe replacement below the concrete slab.

Building codes do require that higher quality piping be used directly beneath your home or business, such as PVC or cast iron. In older constructions, lower quality materials like clay, Orangeburg (tarpaper), or thin walled PVC may have been used outside of the structure and may not be a candidate for hydro jetting.

Why Choose The Drain Team?

Premier Equipment

Harben Drain Jetter

We are equipped with two top-of-the-line Harben jetters, which are unrivaled in their durability and performance. Our equipment includes centrifugal pumps that are second to none, capable of delivering up to 14 and 18 gallons per minute at 4000 PSI. While there are other high-quality jetters on the market, none match the reliability and effectiveness of our Harben jetters.

Expert Team

Our technicians are not only experienced but also deeply knowledgeable in all aspects of drain jetting, including camera inspection and problem identification. Their expertise allows them to find effective solutions for your drainage issues, ensuring that we tackle the root of the problem and not only the symptoms.

Comprehensive Approach

The accumulation of cast iron, slag, and grease can restrict flow, leading to more significant blockages. Our commitment to thoroughness is why we guarantee that every job is completed to the highest standard, especially those in residential settings plagued by constant backups. Our post-jetting camera inspections extend to the end of the line, ensuring the entire sewer line is clear.

Specialized Solutions for Complex Problems

For more complex systems, like lift stations, partial cleaning of the pipes is never enough. Our team is trained to clean lines in their entirety to prevent the recurrence of blockages. We tackle even the toughest of grease buildups, which can solidify in the pipes akin to large, hard bars of soap. Dislodging such massive obstructions without ensuring complete removal can lead to severe complications down the line. Our meticulous approach ensures that we not only clear the immediate blockage but also safeguard your system against future issues.

What is the process of a drain jetting job?

Pre-Jetting Preparation

Camera Inspection

Prior to jetting, a thorough camera inspection is conducted to identify the location and nature of the blockage. This initial step is crucial as it guides our approach, ensuring targeted and effective cleaning.

Splash Prevention

To prevent the jetting process from creating back pressure that could cause water to eject from toilets, we employ preventative measures. Test bulk plugs or inflatable balloons are placed in toilets to seal them, ensuring a clean and controlled environment during the jetting process.

Sewer Line Access

To address the blockage effectively, we hand dig to create direct access to the sewer line where it exits the home. A 3’ section of piping is removed, and a pit is dug to intercept and remove debris, allowing us to extract buildup without pushing it further into the line.

The Jetting

Drain Jetting IllustrationOur jetting technique employs high-pressure water streams to propel the jetter through the sewer line, effectively scour cleaning and removing accumulated debris. The jet nozzle and hose are inserted through the exterior access we created and backward force of the water jets propel itself into the sewer line. We then slowly pull the jet hose out while extracting the accumulated buildup and debris into the pit. This process not only clears the line but also pulls the dislodged material out for removal, ensuring a comprehensive clean. To protect our team and your property, all plumbers are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pipe Integrity Assurance

Throughout the jetting, we remain vigilant about the condition of your pipes using our cameras. If we suspect deteriorated pipes, a low-pressure rinse is performed before further inspection. This careful approach ensures that the jetting process does not make existing damage worse. Our equipment is designed to be safe for use on all types of sewer pipes, with the aim of revealing, not causing, any underlying issues.

Post-Jetting

Final Inspection and Cleanout Installation

Once jetting is complete, we replace the previously removed section of the sewer line with a new ground-level two-way cleanout access. This addition facilitates future maintenance and inspections, allowing for easier access and assessment.

Warranty and Guidance

We offer a standard 90-day warranty on our work, providing peace of mind and assurance of quality. Additionally, we educate our customers on best practices for drain maintenance, advising against disposing of materials like cooking oil, wipes, and non-biodegradable items down the drain to further reduce the chance of future issues.

Pricing and Estimates

The cost of residential or commercial drain jetting is influenced by various factors such as the location of the sewer exit, landscaping, and the amount of buildup in the system. We provide free, comprehensive estimates after an initial camera inspection. Determining the specifics of your situation, ensuring transparency and preparedness for any additional work that may be required to expose the underground sewer line, such as concrete cutting or addressing tree root intrusions.
